IHWD Election 2025
The ballots for the 2025 IHWD Election have been mailed to the voters of Indian Hills.
On the ballot are six candidates. However, these two have dropped from the race: Emery Carson and William Buchanan.
That means there are four viable candidates for the three positions: Kristin Waters, Marc Rosenberg, Kevin Reese, and…
…well, actually, there are three viable candidates for three open positions, and a fourth candidate who would be detrimental to progress at the district.
The IHWD has long prioritized keeping rates as low as possible and scraping by on infrastructure needs. In recent years, IHWD has shifted its focus to incremental rate changes based on engineering evaluations of infrastructure needs, coupled with harsh drought conditions.
The need for a new treatment system was paramount in recent years for several reasons: 1) The previous system was ineffective and shut down often; 2) the previous system was inefficient and did not reduce nitrates down reliably without blending from other zones; and 3) because of numbers 1 and 2, IHWD could not utilize all of their water wells and therefore wasn’t producing all the water possible.
The new treatment system is not hindered by poor performance or limited yield, allowing the IHWD to turn on and use previously abandoned wells.
Vote for Kristin, Marc, and Kevin to keep moving forward and maintain the positive momentum at IHWD delivering safe water to all of the IHWD customers in Indian Hills.
